Shimano Tyrnos 8II Two-Speed Lever Drag Reel
The Shimano Trynos 8II is one of the the new editions in Lever Drag Reels from Shimano. The Shimano Trynos 8II is constructed with a diecast Aluminum frame for strength and durability. It has oversized gears for increased power and an oversized handle shank for increased torque, a 6.0:1 High Gear Ratio and Low Gear Ratio of 3.5:1, no-crossbar design that provides excellent line control when casting or dropping back baits or lures while trolling and an alternating twin pawl anti-reverse design for reliability and hooksetting power. The ratcheting Drag Lever eliminates lever movement due to boat vibration. The Shimano Tyrnos 8II is rated for 12-20lb test and is a good all around reel for many inshore species where a smooth drag is the only choice. Many anglers opt to spool with 30lb Braid.
