Over the past few years we have had Half-Beaks off the New England Coast and the Tuna have ignored our traditional squid spreader bars to chase this new bait. After traveling to the grouds and watching these bait schools get harrased for countless hours, we have now incorporated a spreader bar that mimics a school of fleeing baitfish. We have had incredible results when Half-Beaks or Ballyhoo are present, even when they're not! This bar works wonders for Tunas, Marlin, large Dorado and even Wahoo.(we recommend a stinger rigged with wire)
This bar is rigged with a 48'' Titanium bar with a 12'' bird in the center, 300lb Momoi Hi-Catch mainline with 300lb ball bearing swivel and 130lb Momoi Hi-Catch on the teasers. The front of the bar has a 9'' Blue/white squid to reduce bar drag.
We recommend a trolling speed of 4-8knots and 80lb test minimum on your reel.
