Our Custom 42in Floating Spreader Bar with 15 x 9″ Squids is built with foam-filled squids. The foam gives the bar the right amount of buoyancy to keep this bar on top of the water which has many benefits. The added buoyancy gives fishermen without outriggers a huge advantage over normal spreader bars, due to the distance they can get it behind the boat without sinking. Another advantage is if you or a rookie mate happens to deploy without attaching the snap swivel, it is easily retrievable 🙂
The mainline is constructed with 250lb monofilament and features a weighted stinger with a stainless steel big-game hook. The added weight keeps it in the strike zone. These bars are extremely effective for all tuna species especially Yellowfin, Bluefin, Albacore and Big-Eyes.
