The Shimano Baitrunner provides a secondary drag system that allows an angler to feed out line in tension-controlled freespool with the bale closed. This enables the angler to feed the line out, let the fish take the bait and run, while still maintaining line control with the bale closed.
The Baitrunner gives you the ultimate fishing advantage, whether you’re dropping live baits back to feeding fish froim a boat or working jetties and rocks for stripers and other species. When fish are weary eaters the Shimano Baitrunner is man’s best tool.
Incorporating all of the latest technology such as the Propulsion Line Management System to S A-RB bearings, the new compact profile lineup of Baitrunners can handle nearly any live-bait application from the new small 4000 size for freshwater and inshore species to the large 12000 size for bluewater.
The Fisherman’s Outfitter Custom VAP Series are built with High-Quality Gloss Black E-Glass Blanks. They feature 2-Footed Guides (7+Tip) that feature Stainless-Steel Frames and durable Ceramic inserts. They have an 8″ EVA Foregrip and 11″ EVA Reargrip with an Aluminum Gimbal. They also feature a Graphite Reel Seat with Aluminum Reinforced Hoods. The VAP Series is a great choice for lobbing large pieces of bait and heavy lures.
