The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) announces the extension of the comment period for the proposed rule regarding Atlantic bluefin tuna (BFT) quotas and Atlantic tuna fisheries management measures (76 FR 13583, March 14, 2011).  The comment period is extended from April 14, 2011, to April 28, 2011, to receive additional comment from the public and other interested parties.

NMFS has rescheduled the Gloucester, MA public hearing from March 21, 2011, as follows:

The new date and time is:    April 1, 2011, 1 to 3 p.m.

The location remains:        NMFS, 55 Great Republic Drive, Gloucester, MA

NMFS will schedule two additional public hearings in the Portland, ME and Fairhaven, MA areas to be held within the extended comment period.  These public hearings will be announced shortly.
